  One main thing you expect your loan agency to do is keep up with your file and document any agreement that was made over the phone. I got behind in my payments for 2 months around May 2015, I received a letter saying if I didn't get my account paid in 20 days they were sending me to collections. I spoke with one of their staff as soon as I got the letter and I told them that the following Friday my payments will be caught back up with me paying the past due balance and the current balance. The lovely person in the staff told me that would be fine. I made the payment as I stated, and kept my account current until I received a subpoena in December 2015 that said First Heritage was taking me to court! I called them to see what was going on and another lovely member of staff told me that she does see all 5 of my payments that have been made thus far plus the double payment in late May, but that I would have to speak to a Manager. After multiple attempts to contact her, the Manager finally called me and told me that they had already filed the paperwork in May to send me to collections...within the 20 days the notice stated I had to pay!!! WTF??? The manager proceeded to tell me that for Davidson county matters like this can take awhile for a court date so that's why I was just receiving notice of it in December!! I had her go over the payments that were received and explained to her I was told by their staff I had time to pay within the 20 days. If I had known I was still going to go to collections, I would have not made 5 more damn payments is what I stressed to her. She told me there was no record of the conversation in my file documented and that it was too late to do anything at that point to just call the collection agency and setup arrangements there!!! I told her that was bull!! That's 5 months of paying them on time and nobody telling me that they had already sent me to collections! That's 5 months of me receiving normal monthly statements! That's 5 months of me calling to confirm that my payments had been received because I pay online and they agreeing that my payments were received, and yet still not letting me know anything!!! Of course, I was highly highly pissed! I wish I had the money to sue because I would sue the living hell out of them!!! I had been a customer of theirs in Murfreesboro for years before the Lebanon location was even built and then my account was transferred to the Lebanon location because of my overall good payment history. I despise First Heritage Credit and would not recommend them to my worse enemy!! STAY AWAY!!

  Never had an problems with them. Only quip was they're in the business of saddling you with additional debt- they send tons of checks and letters trying to get you to take out additional funds against your credit account, use additional months to make payments. Not a huge fan of this, it's borderline predatory lending. Paid off my account and promptly closed my account.
